Last night, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, whose seat I am running for, died at the age of 90. I wish to express my condolences to her family, especially as her death has come soon after the death of her husband Richard last year. It is a sign of great love when spouses leave this earth within a short period of time.
It is this great marital love and the family that results from it that I wish to prioritize in my campaign. Simply put, not enough Americans are on track to experience the love that the senator and her husband experienced, and that is to the detriment of all of us. I pledge to work for families across this nation, to make it easier to house and feed themselves, to receive medical care, and most of all to raise children.
Families are the fundamental building block of society, and America must prioritize helping them.
