Consider running for a state, local or federal office in California!

More solidarity-minded people of conviction are needed in politics (including local ones such as mayor of Los Angeles which was added as a local example). We would help support you financially and with personnel, website, etc. After discernment and prayer, if you feel called to run under the American Solidarity Party banner, just let us know at contact@ca.solidarity-party.org. We hope to get candidates for all these offices so spread the word. 

In the meantime here are some public office examples for 2026

California Lieutenant Governor

The Lieutenant Governor is the second-highest ranking official of the state executive office. The Lieutenant Governor is the first successor to the Governor and the presiding officer of the State Senate, only voting to break a tie.

California Secretary of State

· The Secretary of State is the chief clerk of the state responsible for maintaining state records.

· Employment: Full Time

California Treasurer

· The State Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the state that tracks state budgets, manages investments, and receives and deposits money for the state.

· Employment: Full Time

California Controller

· The State Controller accounts for State funds, audits financial claims for legality, issues warrants for State obligations, and provides fiscal guidance to local governments.

· Employment: Full Time

California Insurance Commissioner

• The State Insurance and Fire Safety Commissioner is responsible for regulating the state's insurance industry and ensuring fire safety in the state.

California Attorney General

• The Attorney General is the chief legal advisor and chief law enforcement officer of the state.

· Employment: Full Time

California Superintendent of Public Instruction

• The State Superintendent of Public Instruction directs all functions of the Department of Education, chairs the California State Board of Education, and executes policy set by the Board.

California Governor

• The Governor is the chief executive officer of a state and is responsible for implementing state laws and overseeing the operation of the state executive branch. The Governor oversees legislative proposals and vetoes, executive budgets, and implements executive orders.

Los Angeles City Mayor

• The Mayor is the chief executive officer of the municipality. They often preside over council meetings and may have the power to hire and fire heads of municipal departments.
